Today I took the donation of 120 beautiful bouquets of fresh flowers, wrapped in cellophane with red hearts, to four nursing homes. Two groups of residents in Phila and two groups in Montgomery County. I wish you could have seen the joy on the faces as they were incredulous that they were receiving such an unexpected gift.

I am picking up more bouquets on Sunday and then again on Wednesday. It is really a sin that many stores throw the flowers away at the end of the night so the newer and fresher flowers can be stocked on the shelves. The ones that I got looked perfect to me…..and to the 120 recipients of the roses, orchids and tulips!
